Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP)

Initiated in November2012, ASAP is a combination of Communication Skills in English, Basic IT and an Elective Domain Specific Skill Course. The programmes are developed, delivered, assessed and certified with the active participation of the related industries to ensure labour market acceptance of the programmes. 30 students in each batch are given training in soft skills from Mon- Friday 8 am to 9 am and skill courses at SDC Velloor. At the end of the foundation module an assessment test in english communication (APTIS) is conducted by the British Council. Certificates endorsed by the National Skill Development Council are distributed to all eligible students.
